About the board

What SSEB is

The Sanatan Secondary Education Board is an independent education body that develops a structured Sanatan curriculum for schools — implemented alongside the school's existing board, examined by SSEB, and certified with certificates anyone can verify online.

Vision

A generation educated in modern schools and rooted in India's civilisational, philosophical and cultural knowledge — not one at the cost of the other.

Mission

To build and maintain the Sanatan Education Framework — curriculum, teacher development, board assessment and verifiable certification — and to implement it school by school, in India and abroad, without displacing any school's existing affiliation.

Why Sanatan education

The dimension modern timetables carry only in fragments

Values one period a week; Sanskrit as an optional subject; philosophy not at all. NCF 2023 itself calls for Indian Knowledge Systems in the curriculum, and CBSE's KTPI elective proves the content belongs in a school. SSEB's work is to make that dimension systematic — staged, examined and certified across the whole school journey.

From Gurukul to modern education

The Guru–Shishya tradition carried principles worth keeping — disciplined learning, oral transmission, memorisation trained beside questioning, dialogue and debate, character formed with knowledge, learning tied to practical responsibility. The historical record is a diverse ecosystem, and evidence varies by period, region and tradition — so SSEB does not claim to reproduce the Gurukul. It translates those principles into a contemporary school framework: the seven SSEB educational principles, five NCF-aligned stages, eight curriculum domains.

How SSEB works with a school

Apply → review → teacher orientation → timetabled classes → board examinations → milestone certificates at Grades 5, 8, 10 and 12. The school keeps its board throughout. Enquiries: info@9flg.com.

SSEB is an independent board. References to CBSE and the NCF describe alignment of structure and content areas, not recognition or affiliation.
